PhD training opportunities in the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences are part of the CWRU School of Medicine umbrella PhD programs. This includes the Biomedical Scientist Training Program (BSTP), where students earn a PhD, and the Medical Scientist Training Program (MSTP), where students earn an MD/PhD.
Students interested in Genetic Counseling may also apply to the Genetic Counseling Training Program. The Genetic Counseling Training Program offers two tracks: an MS degree in Genetic Counseling or an MS/MA in Genetic Counseling and Bioethics (dual degree program).
